Tau Delta Program is the English Honor Society. Each
spring the Mae E. Gales Creative Writing Contest and the
Zadock Essay Contest award prizes in poetry or short fiction
and in the essay, respectively.
The Marquette Journal,
the campus literary magazine, provides editorial and publishing
experience for undergraduates and awards prizes in fiction
and poetry. The Marquette Writing Society is the student organization
responsible for student and visiting writers' readings.
