(1) AMERICAN LITERATURE SINCE WORLD WAR I.
Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in American Literature in the Department of English. Desired emphasis might include American Indian, Chicana/o, and/or Latina/o literatures. The successful candidate will have expertise in AMERICAN LITERATURE written after World War I. The annual five-course load offers teaching in lower-division historical and genre surveys, upper-division period and topic courses, and graduate seminars. The position also involves active participation in M.A. and Ph.D. programs. Earned doctorateby September 1, 2010. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high quality research.
