Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences

Marquette HallAround here, well-rounded isn't just an empty phrase. Rooted in our Catholic, Jesuit educational tradition, the Helen Way Klingler College of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of the university, where you'll study age-old questions that still resonate today. It's also our largest college, with more than 30 majors, more than 250 faculty members and more than 2,700 students. Whether you're into philosophy or physics, computer science or classical languages, you'll deepen your knowledge of the world around you — and yourself.

MARQUETTE'S DIFFERENCE

The world is your classroom. Explore life sciences in Australia. Study theology in Tokyo. Take a language immersion program in Spain. Our slew of study abroad programs will give your degree some international flavor.

Get on the fast track with our Office of Pre-professional Studies. If you know that you want to be a lawyer or dentist, our accelerated programs will help you earn your degree in less time.

From anthropology to criminology to writing, we have more than 40 student clubs and honor societies to satisfy every niche. It's easy to connect with classmates to share notes and discuss hot topics in your field.

Need help choosing a major? Scheduling classes? Planning a career? Come to our award-winning advising center, where experts will help you figure it all out.

Internships aren't just for business majors. If you're majoring in the social sciences, our real-world programs will put you where your career will take root: archeology digs, shelters for victims of domestic abuse and law enforcement agencies, to name a few.

Aspiring to a career in public service? Our prestigious Les Aspin Center for Government will put you at the heart of the U.S. political process in Washington, D.C. You'll take classes at the center and live and work on Capitol Hill. If you want to stay closer to home, many of our students intern in local and state government through the Les Aspin Center's Milwaukee program.

Explore the Majors Fair

Each spring, spend a special evening with Marquette faculty and fellow students to take a close look at every major in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. Alumni from the college also are on hand to tell you about what they're doing with their degrees.

Award winning

Our faculty has received high honors in research and teaching excellence. We've also won awards for advising and service to the university.

Opportunities to study in Africa

The languages of Senegal. Fieldwork in Cameroon. Abundance and poverty in Kenya. Service learning in South Africa. The chance for you to grow in these places — personally and academically — is more immense than the world's second-largest continent.
