Boys & Girls Clubs of America recognizes fortitude of character, commitment to service and extraordinary leadership through the National Youth of the Year Program. Marquette, through its role as a national education partner for the Boys & Girls Clubs, is pleased to honor those students who have chosen to Be The Difference in their community and, in turn, the world. Marquette offers full-tuition scholarships for up to five members of the Boys & Girls Clubs every year. Former Marquette star and NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade serves as a champion, supporter and spokesperson for the partnership through the Wade's World Foundation.
Boys & Girls Clubs SCHOLARSHIP
Through the Urban Scholars Program, Marquette awards two full-tuition scholarships to members of Milwaukee-Area Boys & Girls Clubs. Up to three additional awards are designated for members of the Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide.
This scholarship is renewable each semester of a recipient's four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program, provided the recipient remains in good academic standing. Urban Scholars Program Selection Guidelines
- Accepted for admission into Marquette for the fall semester
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all college preparatory courses
- Demonstrated leadership in curricular and extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
