Our shadow visits are events led by current students (our Marquette experts) where you experience firsthand academic and social life on campus. You will attend classes, eat in a dining hall, and live a day in the life of a Marquette student.

Register online for a shadow visit. Shadow visits will close two weeks prior to the event.

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email that will have more details including parking information. Overnight visits require a permission slip that must be submitted one week before the visit. Please note that fall shadow visits are reserved for students who have applied. Spring shadow visits are reserved for students who have been admitted.

What if I want to meet with an academic department on campus?

You can make these requests by contacting the Shadow Program at shadow@marquette.edu.  We do our best to accommodate these requests, but it will depend on the schedule for the Shadow Experience and the availability of the department.

I am running late for my visit, what should I do?

Please contact Lindsay Barbeau at (414) 288-5742 to let the Shadow Program know that you are running late.  For Day Visits, some student hosts will have 8 a.m. classes and late arrivals will need to connect with their hosts at a time suitable to their class schedule.  For Overnight Visits, our office is open specifically for check-in and late arrivals might have difficulty getting the materials they need for their visit.

What should I do if I can't attend the visit for the whole time?

We highly recommend that you only sign up for a visit if you can attend in its entierty.  This provides the best experience for visiting students.  If you have a scheduling conflict, please contact the Shadow Program at shadow@marquette.edu at least one week before the visit.

Where do I park on campus?

If you are attending a Shadow Day Visit, you may park in our visitor parking ramp (Wells Street Ramp).  Directions are provided in your confirmation email.

What do I do if I need to cancel my visit?

Please ensure, to the best of your ability, that no conflicts will arise when scheduling your visit, as Shadow Visits require much interdepartmental coordination.  However, if an unexpected conflict does arise, please notify the Shadow Program at shadow@marquette.edu as soon as possible, and preferably at least one week prior to your visit.

Kindly submit your permission slip no later than one week before the visit date.  We must ensure that you are cleared to stay in the residence halls overnight before you arrive on campus.
