Business

 

Business Valuation Services Scholarship

Students may apply for one of three scholarships, if they excel academically in their pursuit of a business degree and give evidence of financial need.

 

Delta Nu Alpha Scholarship

Deadline: May 1, annually

Open to all undergraduate and graduate students majoring in business, logistics, or supply chain management. See scholarship office for application materials.

 

Government Finance Officers Association

Deadline: February, annually

Nielsen Public Investor Scholarship: Open to an employee of a local government or other public entity who is enrolled or plans to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program in public administration, finance, business administration or related field. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. For details and application, visit www.gfoa.org    

Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship: Open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time in a program leading to a career in state or local government finance. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. For details and application, visit www.gfoa.org

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship: Open to upper-division undergraduate or graduate stduents enrolled in public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration. Must identify as Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific islander, Hispanic or Latino. Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Deadline: check with your local Zonta Club

Open to students who will be enrolled as a junior or senior for the 2008-09 academic year. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate program leading to a business management career. Northern Illinois Society of Human Resource Mgmt

Deadline: March, annually

Open to students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a human resource or related field. Must have completed two courses in major, and a minimum of 24 credit hours at the time of applying. Must be currently enrolled for 15 credit hours. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Applicants must demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and/or commitment to community service, both on and off campus. Women’s Transport Seminar (WTS) Scholarships

Deadline: November 10, 2008

Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship- open to undergraduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications available in Scholarship Department.

Molitoris Leadership Scholarship- open to undergraduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications available in Scholarship Department.

Helene Overly Graduate Scholarship- open to graduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications available in Scholarship Department.

President’s Legacy Scholarship- open to graduate women currently enrolled in a transportation related field such as transportation engineering, security planning, business management, finance or logistics. Must have plans to pursue a career in a transportation related field. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must alsodemonstrate an interest in addressing global transportation issue(s).
