Welcome!
The Marquette University Jesuit Community has
generously given the university a $2 million endowment
for the establishment of the Faber Center for Ignatian Spirituality,
which will be dedicated to the promotion of Ignatian spirituality
among faculty and staff.
Blessed Peter Faber (also referred
to as Pierre Favre) was among the first
companions of Ignatius Loyola and was recognized by Ignatius
himself for his talent in giving the Spiritual Exercises
(retreats) and his gifts as a spiritual director. The
naming of the Faber Center coincides with an international
year of anniversaries for the Jesuits, marking 500 years
since the birth of Blessed Peter Faber (April 13, 1506)
and St. Francis Xavier (April 7, 1506), as well as the
450th anniversary of the death of St. Ignatius of Loyola
(July 31, 1556).
Our Work
The Faber Center's offerings
will include:
- retreats
- spiritual direction

in everyday life.
