Planning, Design and Construction is responsible for the overall aesthetics of the campus by developing, implementing and maintaining Marquette University's Campus Master Plan. We continue to develop guidelines to ensure that quality standards for the design and construction of new and renovated projects are maintained. Our team of professionals manage the design and oversee the construction of several projects at a time to implement the University’s Campus Master Plan.
Space planning supports a project by quantifying the user's need for space and equipment. Planning, Design and Construction develops a project program or needs assessment for each project. Working with the University Space and Infrastructure Committee we have developed space standards and furniture guidelines for offices, classrooms, and support spaces.
Design services available from the Planning, Design and Construction include facilitating the design and construction of campus improvement projects, as well managing and and coordinating consulting Architects who provide design services for Capital Projects.
From inception to completion, the Project Manager is critical to the success of any construction or renovation project. The Planning, Design and Construction Project Managers respond to clients questions and concerns and ensure that the project stays within budget and on schedule. They work in cooperation with designers and contractors to ensure the requirements of the University are met, and to create the best possible outcome for the client and the University.
