Provost Myers accepted the University Academic Senate’s recommendation to modify Section 301.03 of the Faculty Handbook focused on faculty promotion to emerita or emeritus status. The revision, effective November 21, 2016, makes promotion presumptive, assuming criteria are met, and has been expanded to include participating faculty as well as regular faculty and academic administrators.
