- During my first year on campus, I’d like to develop relationships with local nonprofits and small businesses in order to develop ongoing service learning projects for my public relations courses. I would also like to become acquainted with area communications firms and our professional alumni working in public relations, advertising and marketing.
- I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in social media and strategic communication and those working with data analytics and new visualization technologies or using social network analysis methodology in their research.
- I’d like to learn more about opportunities at Marquette for interdisciplinary research projects in data analysis, visualization, and possibly, new media policy (data privacy, data ownership). These are emergent areas in many disciplines.
