  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to prioritize and start implementing plans, in concert with the University’s and College of Engineering’s mission and vision, to expand the department’s research activity, support and help the ECE faculty to succeed, review and update the undergraduate and graduate programs and increase their student enrollment, promote diversity in the department, and take steps to enhance the department’s national ranking.
  • I’d like to connect with colleagues interested in building interdisciplinary educational programs, colleagues and administrators who can assist in the planning of such programs, and colleagues who are interested in pursuing research partnerships with the industry.
  • I’d like to learn more about Marquette’s industrial relationships especially in engineering and medicine, the ECE department’s alumni and sponsors, as well as Marquette’s experience and best practices in attracting minorities and women to engineering.​

  • During my first year on campus, I’d like to build up a research program on structural metals for high temperature applications, develop course material with integrated active learning techniques, and find ways to be involved in the community.

  • I’d like to learn more about professional development opportunities available on campus.​
