About the eMPN
The eMPN for the Federal Grad PLUS Loan is a promissory note that is signed online. One eMPN is valid for up to 10 years. The eMPN must be completed in one sitting -- an eMPN cannot be saved and completed at a later time. Please read the Federal Grad PLUS Loan eMPN carefully. The terms and conditions are different than the Federal Stafford Loans.
Steps for receiving and completing the Grad PLUS Loan eMPN:
- Complete and send to our office a Grad PLUS Credit Authorization Form
- Students will be notified by email that an eMPN is available to sign online. Attempting to sign the eMPN before receiving notification that an eMPN is available will result in an error message.
- Before filling out the eMPN, it is important to collect some basic information. Download and print the eMPN worksheet to use as a guide.
- After completing the worksheet, visit http://dlenote.ed.gov/ to sign the eMPN.
The worksheet can be kept for personal records. Do not send the worksheet to Marquette University.
