Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Wisconsin (HCCW)

Deadline: April, annually

Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 are available to students of Hispanic descent. Applicants must be legal residents or U.S. citizens. Must have high school diploma or GED and accepted as a full-time student in an undergraduate program. Must demonstrate financial need. Hispanic College Fund (HCF)

Deadline: varies by scholarship

Open to students who plan to enroll as full-time undergraduate for the 2008-09 academic year. Must be Hispanic, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. HCF offers a number of scholarship programs, each with its own criteria. Hispanic Professionals Scholarship

Deadline: May, annually

Open to students of Hispanic descent who are enrolled in at least 6 credits in the fall 2008 or spring 2009 semesters. Must be enrolled in or applied for an advanced degree program. Infinity Rehab

Deadline: none

Open to students in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology. Must have completed first semester of program, and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be US citizen, permanent resident or international student in lawful status. Candidates chosen to receive the award will be required to sign an employment agreement with Infinity Rehab, and employment beginning within one month of graduation. Institute for Humane Studies

For over forty years, the IHS is dedicated to helping bright undergraduate and graduate students interested in individual liberty pursue their intellectual interests. Applications for the various scholarships, contests (sponsored by www.ThinkForYourself.org), internships and fellowships are available online at www.TheIHS.org. *You do not need to be an IHS alumna/e to apply*.

 

Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Open to students who will be enrolled as a junior or senior for the 2008-09 academic year. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate program leading to a business management career. Jaycees of Wisconsin Foundation, Inc.
Deadline: June 1 annually

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and be returning to school after two years off. Must have completed at least two semesters after returning (does not include summer school). Jewish Federation of Metro Chicago Scholarship

Deadline: February 15, annually

 

Open to graduate students enrolled in a helping profession program (medicine, human services, rabbinate, Jewish communal service) and undergraduates enrolled in nursing, mathematics, engineering, performing arts or law (in the helping sector). John Gyles Education Awards

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Deadline: April, annually

Open to sons and daughters of one of the following: 1) active duty or reserve U.S. Marine; 2) U.S. Marine who has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; 3) Active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is serving, or has served with the U.S. Marine Corps; 4) U.S. navy Corpsman who has served with the U.S. Marine Corps and has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Navy. Candidates must also be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or more. McKnight Endowment Scholarship

Open to M.D. and/or PhD degree students who have completed formal postdoctoral training at the time of application. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with evidence of a commitment to a career in neuroscience. Mexican Fiesta Scholarship

Military Education Scholarship

Deadline: May and November, annually

The employees of VA Mortgage Center sponsor this scholarship to assist current and prospective ROTC students who may struggle to meet the financial requirements of pursuing their education, even with the help of financial aid and other scholarship programs. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a current ROTC student or a prospective ROTC student who will be enrolled for the upcoming fall term. Scholarships are valued at $1,500.
