Welcome to Basic Training

Basic Training is intended for ALL Marquette University student employees.

Basic Training is intended to help you develop the skills you need for work and to ensure you are paid accurately and promptly.

Training materials are organized to provide you with a road map through different aspects of a job. The course is divided into modules designed to be studied in order:

How to Begin

Your department has the choice of offering this training in one of two ways -as a printed workbook or as a linked series of web pages. Check with your supervisor which method you should use:

  • The workbook, may be printed from this web site or,
  • The link below will take you to the first module of the web pages.

Modules: Proceed through each module in order. If you are using the web pages, use the Next button to move through each module. Read the module, follow the instructions, locating any resources and forms required for that module, and when done go to the the next module. The Top button will always bring you to the top of the page.

Each module has an exam. If you are using the web, print and complete the exam, then submit it to your supervisor to score and discuss. Once you have passed the module exam, move to the next module.

Time spent working on modules may be reported as time worked on your timesheet. Start with the first module:
