Forms

If taxes are withheld, you will need to file a tax return at the end of the year to determine if you owe or (most likely) get a refund.

International students must also file a form 8233 and an Alien Registration Form in addition to the W-4 form. International students must also obtain a Social Security Card before starting to work.

W-4

 I-9

Since 1986, all new employees are required to show proof of legal status to work in the United States. Student Employment therefore requires all new employees to show proof of citizenship (Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, or U. S. Passport), and proof of identity (College I.D. or Driver's License).

Foreign students complete the I-9 form and show documentation obtained from Campus International.

Once you complete the I-9 you do not need to do so again for the length of time you are enrolled at Marquette.

All students who work receive information on Health Hazards in the Work Place and sign a form stating that they have received the information.
