National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (SMART)

Eligibility Criteria

    1. U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
    2. Be a third or fourth year undergraduate student
    3. Enrolled at least half-time
    4. Pell Grant Recipient
    5. 3.0 cumulative G.P.A.
    6. Enrolled in an eligible program of study (Computer Science, Engineering, Critical Foreign Languages, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Technology or Multidisciplinary Studies.)
    7. Must be enrolled in at least one class toward major

Amounts & Selection Process

Up to $4000 (depending on federal funding).   Marquette will identify possible recipients and confirm eligibility criteria prior to awarding grant.

Application Process

  1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Renewal Process

Awards are renewed for fourth year students if all necessary forms are filed and students continue to meet eligibility criteria.
