Gear Up Scholarship (formerly NEISP)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Resident of Wisconsin determined by Higher Educational Aids Board (HEAB)
2. Must be eligible for Talent Incentive Program Grant
3. Enrolled full time
4. Must show exceptional financial need
5. Meet low income/disadvantaged criteria as established by state of Wisconsin
6. Must be eligible for Federal Pell Grant

Amounts & Selection Process

WEOP selects eligible students and determines the amount of each student's grant.

Application Process

1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
2. Additional information on criteria and the application process can be received by contacting the nearest WEOP office.

Renewal Process

Work directly with WEOP to meet renewal requirements, maintain continuous enrollment and funds are available at the time that the application is complete. GEAR UP can be received for a maximum of 10 terms.
