Gear Up Scholarship (formerly NEISP)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Resident of Wisconsin determined by Higher Educational Aids Board (HEAB).
2. Undergraduate TIP recipient certified as eligible by Wisconsin Educational Opportunity Program (WEOP).
3. Enrolled full time.
4. Must show exceptional financial need.
5. Meet low income/disadvantaged criteria as established by state of Wisconsin.
6. Must be eligible for Federal Pell Grant.

Amounts & Selection Process

TIP and Gear Up total not to exceed $3,200. WEOP selects eligible students and determines amount of each student's grant.

Application Process

1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
2. For additional information on criteria and the application process contact the WEOP office nearest your home.

Renewal Process

Work directly with WEOP to meet renewal requirements, maintain continuous enrollment and funds are available at the time your application is complete. GEAR UP can be received for a maximum of 10 terms.
