Grounds and Trucking
Services Provided
The Grounds and Trucking area is responsible for maintaining an attractive and safe campus environment. Responsibilities also include moving services, trash and recycling pickups and service to Marquette University departmental vehicles and grounds equipment. Many of the challenges and responsibilities of this area change to a large extent with the seasons.
The Grounds area is responsible for maintaining the campus grounds to include:
- Lawn mowing
- Trimming of shrubs and trees
- Irrigation system maintenance
- Snow plowing, shoveling and salting
- Litter control
- Planting and maintenance of flower and plant beds
The Trucking area is responsible for all campus moving services to include:
- Moving of office furniture and their belongings within and between buildings
- Trash/recycling pickup and disposal
- Special event set-ups
All these services are provided to campus departments at no charge.
