Office Associate - Corporate and Foundation Relations
This individual will work with the Corporate and Foundation Relations team to serve as administrative support. The Office Associate will assist in advancing campaign priorities and the work of development directors. Specific responsibilities include: preparing reports, gift acknowledgements and correspondence; communicate with volunteers, donors, friends and other departments throughout the University; organize calendars and meeting scheduling using Microsoft Outlook; organize itinerary details; hire, train, and supervise student workers; help develop and edit promotional PowerPoint presentations, proofread and edit documents; handle incoming phone calls using strong customer service skills; maintain relevant department records and retrieve data from the database system; track submission of proposals and reports, manage prospect assignments and changes; track incoming gifts and manage gift acknowledgement process for three fundraisers; maintain and manage budgets; receive and deposit checks, help facilitate new account set-up and grant agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School education plus two years related experience required. Must possess excellent customer service skills, flexibility, prioritization and organizational skills, ability to organize and maintain manual and electronic filing systems, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and calendar systems. Three to five years of business experience preferred. The ideal candidate should possess a solid knowledge of grammar and strong written, verbal and creative skills; be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail; have familiarity with a business environment and procedures; work efficiently under deadlines and in a team-oriented setting, complete tasks with minimal supervision and with a high level of confidentiality.
