Prospect Analyst
This individual will work in Advancment Information Services and is responsible for gathering and analyzing university advancement information to assist university advancement in measuring success, cultivating and soliciting donors, and tracking progress to goals. The Advancement Prospect Analyst assists the Associate Director of Prospect Analysis in the work related to the timely production of reports related to goals, including: management reports, fundraiser reports, prospect management reports, benchmark reports. The prospect analyst is expected to use Microsoft Access and Crystal Reports, integrated with Raiser's Edge, to produce and distribute routing reports; provide trend and exception analysis regarding report results, using SPSS as appropriate, gather data for further analysis by the Associate Director; produce ad hoc reports as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires two to three years of analysis and/or reporting experience, a bachelor's degree required and prior experience with SPSS and Microsoft Access or other relational databases; experience with Crystal reports and Raiser's Edge a plus. Strong problem solving and organization skills; strong attention to detail; excellent communication skills, including proficiency in editing, spelling and grammar. The successful candidate will have acquired the ability to exercise independent initiative as appropriate, have strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a variety of people in a team emphasized environment. This position does require accurate and efficient data entry and word processing skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to meet multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
