Senior Writer
The Senior Writer will be responsible for preparing widely scoped development communication materials that generate and sustain fundraising success and donor engagement, as well as enhance the quality of University Advancement service across the Marquette campus. The Senior Writer will serve as a University Advancement liaison to various academic and administrative departments, meeting occasionally with these representatives to learn about their successes, challenges, and how the Development Communications team and these departments can work together to ensure mutual success.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism or other similar background required. The ideal candidate will have proven written, verbal and creative skills along with 5+ years of development and/or fundraising experience within a fundraising environment. The ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail is also needed and candidates should have experience using the Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred individuals will have some experience both in grant writing and in developing marketing materials.
**Writing test (time commitment of one hour) required.**
