How Can Institutes of Higher Education Support Dynamic and Effective Governance Structures in P-12 Catholic Schools?
This conference is the fifth in a series of six summits on various topics germane to Catholic K-12 schools. It is the continuation of a national dialogue that began at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in an effort among institutions of higher education to help strengthen Catholic education. This collection of committed higher education institutions and the professionals within them was called the Catholic Higher Education Collaborative (CHEC). This conference will address the topic of Catholic school governance in a very tangible and meaningful way. Specifically, the outcomes of this summit include providing information about various models that are possible for Catholic school boards, how to improve boards and make them more effective, and how can higher education help.
