About the Chair - Kira-Lynn Reeves
Kira-Lynn Reeves is a graduate of UW Oshkosh in Communication, where she worked as an event planner for the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning after graduation. All of her experiences at UW Oshkosh fostered an ongoing passion for higher education and campus life, which is why she is so excited to be serving as the Vice Chair of Marquette’s Graduate Student Organization. Currently completing her second year in the Diederich College of Communication, Kira is focused on Health Communication and Consulting. This year, Kira is also serving as a teaching assistant for the Business Communication course. Dedicated to public speaking and debate, Kira continues to coach local high school students, cultivating these valuable skills in our future leaders.
As Vice Chair, Kira’s goal for the GSO is to see it become a cohesive, active group on the Marquette campus, capable of advocacy and great networking opportunities for all graduate students. Given the pressures of grad student life, Kira fervently believes in the necessity of balance and wants to see the GSO become synonymous with socializing while getting to know grad students from all academic disciplines at Marquette.
