What happens if I pay my advance deposit and cannot get a visa?

As an F-1 (student) Visa, you will need from us a Federal Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20). Federal law and university policy permit us to send the I-20 as soon as you complete an acceptable Financial Verification Form and send us an advance deposit of money. The first semester's advance deposit is $6,300.00. The premium for the first semester of health insurance will be deducted from this amount. You should plan to pay any balance in your tuition upon your arrival. All but $10 is refundable if you choose not to attend Marquette. (You have option of having the I-20 sent speed post, if they request it in writing and they will be billed for the “extra” shipping charge.) We will send the I-20 as soon as we receive the required deposit and acceptable financial verification form.
