Rankings & Recognitions

Marquette University ranks 82nd among the top national universities Rankingin the 2008 edition of America's Best Colleges, released by U.S. News & World Report.

Marquette was listed among the 262 U.S. universities that offer undergraduate majors as well as master's and doctoral degrees.

Marquette was once again one of only 23 universities recognized for service learning under “Programs to Look For.” Service learning programs involve volunteer work in the community as an instructional strategy, enriching the classroom experience.




Marquette's graduate programs have also received top scores from U.S. News & World Report:

  • The College of Nursing’s graduate programs scored 54th (placing the college in the top 20 percent of programs around the country) and nursing-midwifery was 18th (2008)

  • The Law School was ranked in the "Top 100"; the Law School's dispute resolution program was ranked 6th; and the legal writing program was 26th (2008)

  • The part-time master’s in business administration was ranked 17th (2008)

  • The physician assistant program was ranked 40th (2008)

  • The biomedical engineering program was ranked 37th (2008)

  • The School of Education was ranked 77th (2007)

  • The physical therapy program was ranked 16th (2005)

  • Clinical psychology (doctorate) was ranked 113th (2005)

  • Speech-language pathology was ranked 72nd (2004)
