Limits are placed on the number of credit hours which may be transferred from other institutions. Only credits directly applicable to a student's Marquette degree program will be considered for transfer, and there is no guarantee that these will be approved. Students are strongly urged to consult with their advisers before requesting or taking any course for which they will want to transfer credits.

A maximum of 12 credits or one-third of the total credit requirement (not to exceed 12 credits) may be transferred in, subject to the following conditions:

1. The courses must be appropriate to the student's course of study.
2. A grade of B or better must have been earned in each course to be transferred in.
3. A maximum of 12 credits may be transferred in.
4. Students must have completed a minimum of six credits in a degree status at Marquette University before any transfer requests may be submitted.
