Application Deadlines

Some, but not all, of our graduate programs have specific application deadlines.  Those departments that do not have specific deadlines listed use rolling admissions, which means that you may apply any time prior to August 1 for fall term admissions and December 15 for spring term admissions. These are the dates by which your applications must be complete, meaning that all required documentation must be received in the Graduate School by these dates.

Students may apply for admission to programs that have deadlines even after the deadlines have passed. In such cases, the academic department will make the decision whether or not to consider the application. Applicants who apply after the deadline are cautioned that their applications may or may not be reviewed.

The following programs have specific application deadlines:

Dec. 15	Foreign Languages and Literatures (M.A. and M.A.T.); Religious Studies (Ph.D.; for fall admission)
Dec. 31	History (M.A. and Ph.D.)
Jan. 7	Nursing Direct Entry Program for Non-Nurses
Jan. 15	Clinical Psychology (Ph.D.); Biological Sciences (M.S. and Ph.D.)*; Educational Policy and Leadership (Ph.D.), Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (M.S.); Speech-Language Pathology (Cert and M.S.)
Feb. 1	Counseling (M.A.); Theology (M.A.; for fall admission and financial aid consideration)
Feb.15	Philosophy (M.A. and Ph.D.); Political Science* (for fall term); International Affairs* (for fall term)
March 15	Nursing (M.S.N. and Ph.D.)*
April 15	Educational Policy and Leadership for summer admission (M.A., M.Ed., Cert)**
July 15	Educational Policy and Leadership for fall admission (M.A., M.Ed., Cert)**
Sept. 1	Endodontics (starting in June of following year)
	Orthodontics (starting in June of following year)
	Prosthodontics (starting in June of following year)
Oct. 1	Advanced Education in General Dentistry (starting July 1 of the following year)
Nov. 15	Educational Policy and Leadership for spring admission (M.A., M.Ed., Cert)**; Political Science* (for spring term); International Affairs* (for spring term)

* No official deadline exists; however, preference will be given to applications received before this deadline. Applications for admission received after this date will be considered as space permits.

**The Educational Policy and Leadership program offers rolling admission for all master's and certificate programs. However, students are advised to keep this deadline in mind when applying. All application materials must be submitted by this date.
