Celebrating Eschweiler’s Architectural Heritage at Marquette University
August 8 – September 23, 2007

The Haggerty Museum of Art has joined The Charles Allis Art Museum and the Milwaukee County Historical Society in celebrating the legacy of Alexander C. Eschweiler by presenting plans and elevations of his architectural projects for Marquette University. Eschweiler designed the Law School in 1923-24 and the Science Building (now Haggerty Hall), 1923-27, along with the Marquette University Stadium which once stood between 37th and 39th Streets.

This exhibition provides a closer look at Eschweiler and his vision for Marquette through historic images and large-scale reproductions of actual “blue” prints of the two extant buildings.
