The exhibition highlighted the Haggerty Museum's permanent collection
of prints by well-known American artists.
Headlining the exhibition were eight works by Andy Warhol (1928-1987),
who gained fame for his silk-screened icons of Hollywood film stars and
company trade names. His serigraph prints of Marilyn, 1967;
Liz,
1964; New England Clam Chowder; and Tomato Beef Noodle-Os
were represented.
The other artists featured in the exhibition were Robert Indiana (b.1928),
Jasper Johns (b.1930), Alex Katz (b.1927), Roy Lichtenstein (b.1923), Robert
Rauschenberg (b.1925), James Rosenquist (b.1933), and Audrey Flack (b.1931). |
