(Milwaukee, WI) The Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University is exhibiting a collection of work gifted to the museum during 1998-2000. The exhibition includes a wide variety of paintings, sculpture and works on paper, representing Renaissance to Modern and contemporary art.
Many important figures of 20th Century art are featured in the exhibition, including Georges Braque, Alexander Calder, Man Ray, Pablo Picasso and Frank Stella. Also featured are paintings and prints from the 16th and 17th centuries by Dutch, Flemish and Italian artists Carlo Dolci, Jan Sadeler and Rembrandt,
The Haggertys collection of both Rudolph Schlichter and German Expressionism was bolstered by recent acquisitions from the collection of Marvin and Janet Fishman.
