Color Field Revisited

Produced in conjunction with the 2004 Haggerty Museum of Art exhibition Color Field Revisited, this publication features the work of twelve North American painters. The artists featured in the catalogue are Walter Darby Bannard, Jack Bush, Friedel Dzubas, Sam Francis, Helen Frankenthaler, Morris Louis, Robert Motherwell, Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, Larry Poons, Mark Rothko, and Frank Stella.

 

Color Field Revisited: Paintings from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery includes an essay on the history of the movement by independent scholar, Karen Wilkin. The catalogue contains color reproductions of fifteen paintings from the permanent collection of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. In addition, the catalogue has biographies of the twelve artists in the exhibition, as well as a select bibliography.
