This interactive video provides an educational look at sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking, while exploring a number of facts and myths surrounding the issues. As peer educators, VOICE members provide programming intended to promote safe and healthy relationships, free of sexual violence. These efforts are achieved through passive and active programming in residential, academic, athletic, Greek and other student settings. Types of VOICE programs include facilitated discussions following skits or film segments, educational and informational presentations, and many other types of interactive programs. In addition, VOICE passively educates about sexual violence through tools like newsletters and bulletin boards. The Peer Health Educators offer a wide variety of prevention and wellness programs pertaining to college health issues, including healthy relationships. Programs consist of interactions, discussion, and self-discovery between participants and presenters, and are intended for use at meetings, classes and various group gatherings. Sexual Violence Awareness Week (SVAW) occurs annually in mid-September and Sexual Assault Awareness Month occurs annually in April. The planning committees for both series develop a variety of programs, events, and speakers to increase awareness and educate the community about sexual violence.
