Mashuda Residence Hall

Some conference attendees will be staying in seven-story Mashuda Hall on the west end of Marquette's campus. All Mashuda Hall rooms are air-conditioned, carpeted and furnished with an extra-long twin bed for each guest, as well as a private bathroom, dresser, desk and desk chair. Room telephones feature free local phone service. For delegates with laptops, Internet access is available in all rooms via wired Ethernet connection (please bring an Ethernet cable). There are study rooms and a computer lab. Dining facilities for breakfast are located on the first floor.

History
In its previous life, the building served as a hotel. The Beatles spent the night on Sept. 4, 1964, after playing to a screaming crowd at the Milwaukee Arena. The exact room John, Paul, George and Ringo stayed in is subject to debate, but it's believed to be somewhere on the seventh floor. In 1980, Marquette purchased and remodeled the hotel building. A $3 million renovation of Mashuda Hall was completed in 2002. The residence is named for Josephine Hallman Mashuda, a Marquette benefactor.

Next door to Mashuda Hall is the Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, built in 1892.
