Chuck Clausen

Chuck Clausen's life has been a journey of service. In between his B.A. degree from Marquette in 1963 and his graduation from Marquette's Law School in 1970, Clausen spent 4 years in the Marines, including time in Vietnam.

The next 31 years of his life were spent at Marquette's Law School as a member of the faculty. In later years at Marquette, he created and staffed a law school clinic for the elderly, serving very low income inner city residents in the neighborhoods surrounding the Marquette campus.

From 2000 until 2003, Clausen served as Executive Director of the House of Peace Community Center, an inner city ministry conducted by the Capuchin Franciscans, a mile north of the MU campus. Services include a food pantry, clothing bank, emergency funds and legal and nursing services.
