Marquette Presents: Addiction forum discusses the neuroscience behind the disease
The latest rendition of the College of Health Sciences’ popular Marquette Presents series was held on Septmeber 10th and entitled The Tragedy of Addiction: Neuroscientific Perspectives Toward Understanding and Treatment.
The panel of experts, moderated by Dean William E. Cullinan, included:
- Dr. John Mantsch, professor and chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and co-founder of Promentis Pharmaceuticals Inc.
- Dr. Robert Wheeler, assistant professor of biomedical sciences
- Dr. Michael Bohn, board-certified general and addiction psychiatrist at Aurora Behavioral Health Center
- Andrea Rathsack, recovered gambling addict currently finishing a degree in substance abuse counseling
