Dr. Donald Neumann, professor of physical therapy, organized and hosted the second annual national educational workshop specifically designed for instructors at universities who teach kinesiology to physical therapy students. The workshop was held in the College of Health Sciences May 21-23, 2012. Nineteen educators representing 17 universities presented. The workshop is unique due to its interactive nature; all participants present their own specialized way of teaching the subject matter. Participants also shared educational websites, lectures and exams, and other favorite instructional “pearls” or innovations. The benefit of the workshop is to improve the overall teaching effectiveness of each participant, as well as to enhance the depth and the cohesiveness of the subject matter of kinesiology within the PT curricula of programs across universities in the United States.
May 2013 dates are pending.
