College of Health Sciences students from the Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs were invited to speak at the Mission Week event, “What’s Happening in Your Corner of the World?” on February 7, along with Opus Prize recipients Rev. Rick Frechette, C.P., Brother Stan Goetschalckx, F.C. and Rev. John Halligan, S.J.
Two Physician Assistant students, Abigail Frericks and Kyle Kinderman, and two Physical Therapy students, Angela Meyer and Ashley Anderson, spoke about their work with various outreach programs, including Global Brigades, Milwaukee’s Repairer of the Breach homeless clinic, and the Youth Empowered to Succeed partnership with Milwaukee’s United Community Center.
College of Health Sciences alumnus Bruce J. (B.J.) Lanser, M.D., H Sci ’04, is chief pediatric/chief resident at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Lanser plans to pursue fellowship training in allergy and immunology at National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado in Denver.
