FREE H1N1 Vaccination Clinic
Still Need Your H1N1 Vaccination? Student Health Service will be hosting two more FREE H1N1 vaccination clinics on Wednesday, Feb. 10 and Thursday, Feb. 11. The clinics will run from 7am-1pm in the AMU 1st Floor Lobby, both days. The clinics are open to any member of the Marquette community with an MUID. Questions? Call (414) 288-7184.
Student Health Advisory Board Recruiting
The Student Health Advisory Board (SHAB) is currently recruiting for four new at-large members. Students interested in serving on the Board should complete a SHAB application and return it to the Center for Health Education and Promotion by 4pm on Friday, February 12. Any questions about SHAB or the application process can be directed to Board advisor, Becky Michelsen.
Mr. Omega Man Pageant
Alpha Chi Omega will host its fourth annual "Mr. Omega Man" pageant on Friday, February 12th, at 7:30pm, in the Varsity Theatre. During the pageant, a group of nine Marquette men will go head-to-head in talent, question & answer, and clothing competitions. All proceeds from the pageant will go to support the Sojourner Family Peace Center, a haven for victims of domestic violence in Milwaukee.
“Pack the Al” in PINK!
On Saturday, February 20th, Marquette Women's Basketball will host it's annual “Pack the Al” in PINK game, as part of the
WBCA Pink Zone® initiative to
raise breast cancer awareness. Those attending the game are encouraged to show their support by wearing pink, and can also come early for an interactive women's health fair. To receive half-price admission, print the "Pink Zone" flyer and bring it with you to the game. Breast cancer survivors can receive a free ticket by submitting the this form to Marquette Athletics.
Donate to the "Pink Zone" Bra Drive!
In conjunction with the upcoming Marquette women’s basketball "Pink Zone" game on Sunday, February 20th, the Center for Health Education and Promotion is hosting a bra drive. Bins will be located at various sites around campus (AMU Info Desk, McCormick Hall, Schroeder Hall, Cobeen Hall, Mashuda Hall, Rec Center, Rec Plex, Al Center) to collect new or gently used bras for the Sexual Assault Treatment Center of Greater Milwaukee. Bras will be collected from February 1st - 20th, up until half time at the game. For more information about the drive, contact the Center for Health Education and Promotion at (414) 288-5217.
