Steven Hahn to Deliver Klement Lecture


Klement Lecture leads off Freedom Project:

Steven Hahn, Roy F. and Jeannette P. Nichols Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, will deliver the twenty-first annual Frank L. Klement Lecture at 7:30 PM on September 27, 2012. His topic will be "The Dimensions of Freedom: Slave Emancipation, Indian Peoples, and the Projects of the New American State." The lecture will take place in the Raynor Memorial Library Conference Center, Beaumier Suites (lower level). Hahn is the author of several books, including A Nation Under our Feet: Black Political Struggles in the Rural South from Slavery to the Great Migration (2004) which received the Pulitzer Prize in History.
