Advising Award Goes to McMahon

Tim McMahon became the third history department faculty member to receive the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Excellence in Advising Award at a luncheon held on April 19. The award is based on nominations and letters written by students and faculty members.  Tim, who has advised undergraduate history majors and undeclared majors, taught in the college’s Introduction to Inquiry program, and supervised four PhD students (completed and in progress), had been a finalist for the award a half dozen times.  He joins Kristen Foster and Julius Ruff history department winners of the award.
