Programming for 2014-2015:

Legacies of the Great War: An Interdisciplinary Symposium at the War’s CentennialFirst World War.

The fall semester will see a major effort by the department to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.  Organized by Julius Ruff and Jim Marten, it will consist of a series of lectures and panel discussions featuring MU faculty members from a number of departments.  The project is supported by the Casper Lecture Fund, The Women’s and Gender Studies Program, and the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center.  The dates, times, and topics are as follows (look for details about the speakers and the locations of their lectures on the department website and Facebook page):
