Jeff Ocwieja’s "Art as Political Struggle," written in Dr. Julius Ruff's Undergraduate Seminar, won the Jablonowski Award for best undergraduate essay.

Other news: Peter Dobek is working on a PhD in Medieval History at Western Michigan University. He has won a Fulbright fellowship to Poland for next year where he will be conducting research on his dissertation on Public Houses in later medieval Poland.

Kerry Dunneis the Director of History and Social Studies, K-12, for Boston Public Schools. Prior to joining BPS in the fall of 2014, Kerry was the K-12 Director of Social Studies in Arlington Public Schools and taught at Framingham High School. Kerry earned a masters from UMass-Amherst and an Ed. D. from Boston College. She serves as an adjunct member of the education school faculty at Brandeis University.

Jose Fossas is returning to Puerto Rico to start medical school.

Amanda Graff will be attending the University of Chicago where she is pursuing a Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences.

Mark Karau received tenure in the Department of History at UW-Sheboygan.

Charles Keenan earned a PhD in Renaissance Italian History from Northwestern University. Beginning in the fall, he will be an inaugural post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies at Boston College.

Christopher McFadin completed his Ph.D. at the University of Iowa. His dissertation was on "The Fiscal Reformation in Rural France, 1598-1685."

Jeff Ocwieja published an essay he wrote for Julius in Grand Valley State’s undergrad journal http://scholarworks.gvsu.edu/gvjh/vol3/iss2/2/.  Jeff finished in December and will be going to law school at Madison in the fall.

Matt Roberts will be attending law school at the John Marshall College of Law in Chicago.

MacKenzie Sims plans to do an MA in History at Kings College, London.
