Amanda DesLauriers (BA, 2007) is finishing an MA in Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University. She will be presenting a paper from her research, “Beguines: From Orthodoxy to Heterodoxy,” at this May’s International Congress on Medieval Studies. She plans to return to Milwaukee in the fall and pursue a position with AmeriCorps.
Peter Dobek (BA, 2010) is completing an MA in Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto. He is currently pursuing several internships and intends to apply to PhD programs in the fall.
Phil Koski (BA, 2009) is completing his MA in medieval history at Saint Louis University and will be continuing on for his PhD there this fall. This summer he will be presenting papers at both of the major international medieval studies congresses. In May, he is presenting “Calatrava, Citeaux, and Crusade in Spain between the Twelfth and Thirteenth Centuries” at “Kalamazoo” and in July he will deliver “Spanish Origins: Understanding Arnaud Amaury and the Albigensian Crusade” at the University of Leeds.
