Marquette Contemplative Community

Welcome to the web home of the Marquette Contemplative Community (MCC)!

We are here to support the contemplative interests of the Marquette community. There is growing interest in contemplative practice and study at Marquette, and the Milwaukee Contemplative Community has organized to make opportunities more generally available to faculty, students, administrators, and staff.

The MCC was awarded the Edward D. Simmons Religious Commitment Grant for 2011/12 to further these interests. With the help of this support we are initiating weekly contemplative sessions for the Marquette community and are also planning a speaker series to support the practice.

CONTEMPLATIVE EVENTS

Weekly Meditation Hour
Every Wednesday:4:30 -5:30 pm
Joan of Arc Chapel
One hour of weekly meditation, open to the entire
Marquette community, faculty, students, and staff. Come and go; stay for some or come for all. All are welcome. Meditation Instruction Available.

4th Annual Miksang Photography Reception
Class Closing Show. View the wonderful and miraculous perceptions of a semester-long exploration of Mindfulness in Photography
