In this program, participants will examine the components of effective meetings, which are the basis for effective project management teams. Types of meetings, meeting structure, participant composition and roles, and interaction norms will be reviewed. This workshop is for managers who already receive monthly reports. The monthly management reports prepared by the Office of the Comptroller are transitioning to a new delivery system. This new system will provide statements as Crystal Reports, delivered via the Web, using Business Objects. The current monthly PDF format reports that are e-mailed to managers will be replaced by this system. Just in Time for Year-end - Help from the Comptroller

The workshops are open to regular and adjunct faculty as well as graduate students in the Preparing Future Faculty Program. SPOTLIGHT ON THE HAGGERTY:
Meet Don Doll and Tour the Exhibition “The Grandeur of God”: Photographs by Don Doll, S.J. Don Doll, S.J., is the Marquette University Wade Scholar Lecturer for the spring 2008 semester. In conjunction with Doll’s stay at Marquette, the Haggerty Museum of Art will present “The Grandeur of God”: Photographs by Don Doll, S.J. The title of the exhibition is inspired by the Gerard Manley Hopkins poem God’s Grandeur, written in 1877. The exhibition will include a selection of Doll’s Native American images; panoramas along the Lewis and Clark Trail; Jesuits assisting refugees in Uganda, Sudan, and Eastern Europe; landmine victims in Angola; and Tsunami survivors in India and Sri Lanka.
Don Doll, S.J., is a Jesuit priest and award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in National Geographic and a number of the Day in the Life of... books. Doll was introduced to photography and the Lakota people when he was assigned to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota as a young Jesuit. Two of his books on Native Americans are Crying for a Vision and Vision Quest: Men, Women and Sacred Sites of the Sioux Nation.
In May of 1997, Doll was awarded the prestigious Kodak Crystal Eagle Award for Impact in Photojournalism at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., for his many years of work with Native Americans. Since 1969, Doll has lived and worked at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., where he is a professor of journalism and holds the Endowed Heider Chair.

Treasures from the Haggerty Museum of Art Permanent Collection
Participants in the Haggerty Museum’s April GROW session will have the opportunity to see a wide array of works of art from the museum’s permanent collection.
