We are pleased that you have chosen to be a part of Marquette University and look forward to your contributions!
Employee Data Form
In order to facilitate payroll processing and the establishment of your Marquette University e-mail account, please complete the attached Employee Data Form and return to Human Resources via fax at (414) 288-7425 or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The information in the Employee Data Form must be completed fully and allows the University to comply with federal reporting requirements. This information must be completed in order to process a salary authorization for you to receive a paycheck and to establish your e-mail account.
First Day of Employment
On your first day, please report to the Human Resources Office at David A. Straz, Jr. Tower, 915 W. Wisconsin Ave., Room 185 where you will need to complete an Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9). At that time you will also need to present your forms of identification to Human Resources for verification.
As a new employee, you will need to complete and sign an MUID Authorization Card. This card can be obtained from your department or from Human Resources (new employees will obtain this from HR on their first day). Please note: the Marquette Card Office will no longer generate MUID numbers and will not issue MUID cards to individuals who do not appear in MyJob and/or CheckMarq and who do not have the Marquette University MUID Authorization Card.
Once the Department of Human Resources receives and processes the appropriate paperwork (Employee Data Form (EDF) and Confirmation Offer or Salary Authorization), an e-mail address will be generated the next day. New employees are encouraged to contact the ITS Help Desk at 8-7799 or visit http://www.marquette.edu/its/help/ on setting up an email account.
New Employee Orientation
All regular full-time or regular part-time employees hired are eligible to attend. Once the job offer is extended and accepted, Human Resources will schedule the new employee for the next available New Employee Orientation based upon their start date. The New Employee Orientation will cover Benefits, Payroll, Public Safety, HR Policies and Procedures, IT Services, and more.
2015 Orientation Schedule
New Employee Orientations are held every month from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call 8-7305 or email with any questions.
New employees attending orientation are reminded to please bring their benefit enrollment binders with them to orientation. Information covering material in the binders will be presented. Please contact Human Resources if you have not received your benefits binder.
