Five area schools share $1 million grant
Marquette University and four other schools will share a federal economic development grant of nearly $1 million to foster innovation and create jobs. The $970,000 award was the largest grant among a total of $12 million awarded to 21 universities nationwide by the U.S. Economic Development Administration under its University Center Program.

Marquette Dental School awarded $2 million from Delta Dental
Delta Dental has awarded a $2 million grant to Marquette's dental school for its Building for the Future campaign. Delta Dental's donation is the first of an $8 million capital campaign that will match $8 million already committed from the state of Wisconsin in its 2011-2013 biennial budget.
