Former MU coach Majerus dies at 64
Former legendary Marquette basketball coach and alumnus Rick Majerus died Dec. 1 of a heart ailment at the age of 64. Throughout his career, Majerus coached under Al McGuire at Marquette, was an assistant coach for the Bucks, head coach for Utah and finished his career as head coach at St. Louis University. A funeral mass will be held at Church of the Gesu on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m.

Marquette partners with universities to support budding entrepreneurs
Five area universities, including Marquette, have been awarded a federal grant to form and launch the Wisconsin Center for Commercialization Resources, a statewide partnership to support entrepreneurs and startup businesses. The partner universities already offer a range of services to support entrepreneurs, such as the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship at Marquette.

Buena Vida Coffee expands sales to Sendik's
Buena Vida Coffee, a student-run nonprofit organization headquartered in Marquette University's Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship, is expanding sales to New Berlin Sendik's Food Market. Buena Vida, founded in 2010 by Marquette graduate Kate Novotny, donates one meal for every bag of coffee sold to a child at the Sociedad Amigos de los Niños orphanage in Honduras.
