Marquette University adopts strategic plan to raise its profile
Marquette University endorsed a new vision on Wednesday – to be recognized among the most innovative and accomplished Catholic and Jesuit universities in the world. Marquette President Scott R. Pilarz, S.J., said the new vision and strategic plan were the culmination of conversations involving the whole campus community since his arrival two years ago.

wrote on the Boston Marathon tragedy and homegrown terrorism saying, "Americans can be reassured that the terrorism threat posed by Muslims residing in the United States remains small. As horrific as they were, the Boston attacks are not evidence that homegrown terrorism is on the rise."

Attention-deficit drugs face new campus rules
Colleges are clamping down on the prescription medications for ADHD. The drugs, which are stimulants, are known to be abused on college campuses as a type of study aid. At Marquette University, clinicians can call parents to get medical histories and confirm symptoms.
