Students in the Kohler Center

Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship

Who we are: We are dreamers, inventors and doers

Part of the university’s new Office of Research and Innovation, the Kohler Center is a hub for fostering new ventures, encouraging innovation and creative cross-collaboration between students, faculty and staff from each of Marquette’s 12 colleges and schools, engaging them through: mentoring, community partnerships, pitch competitions, workshops, speakers and free office-space.

Fostering a culture of innovation

At the Kohler Center, Innovation is more than an outcome. It is a philosophy highly influenced by its environment. We have been going above and beyond to develop an atmosphere of creative play, interdisciplinary collaboration, and iterative problem-solving.

Looking Ahead: new location, bigger impact

Opening Spring 2017.

We are working hard to open a new, more accessible Kohler Center with increased resources, more space and a deeper network with the entire university. Located on the first floor of the 707 building, this new space will make the Kohler Center a star focal point at the entrance of campus on Wisconsin Avenue, maximizing our visibility to the Marquette and Milwaukee community. We are also continuing to expand partnerships with regional and national entrepreneurship ecosystems to learn best practices, collaborate and provide networking opportunities to students.

Innovation Academy

Launching Spring 2017, Innovation Academy will be a collection of experiences available to students to help them acquire and apply skills to become innovative thought leaders in their fields while earing points towards an Innovation transcript notation.
